Thanksgiving Trip Philadelphia Part 1

(group photo minus Nathan in front of City Tavern)

We ended our trip with an over night stay in downtown Philadelphia. My cousin, Devin, was in the Thanksgiving parade, so we all decided to join in the festivities. We all met at our hotel and headed to City Tavern which is the oldest restaurant in the United States. Our servers wore period pieces from the 1700's and we got to taste some of our founding father's favorite foods. Thomas Jefferson had the best taste with his sweet potato biscuits!
With our bellies full we decided to take on the town and see where our country was established!

On our way ot the Continental Congress we passed by the building that was used in the Ghostbuster movies. Since Nathan does not like to tkae pictures of buildings alone Devin and I willingly posed for him to get this shot. What you don't see is that my wonderful husband is down on all fours with his body twisted to get the shot!! Unfortunately, as I comb through all of our pictures most of them are buildings without people in the picture!

Here we are with my dad in front of the first Supreme Court.

While we were on vacation the pacie rules went out the window. I am paying for it now that we are back, but he was really enjoying himself.

My genius brother trying to show me how much he knows and that is me trying to figure out what the heck is he showing me.

After sightseeing we headed back to the hotel to get a little rest before we hit the town.
