This year we decided to travel to somewhere besides Dallas for Thanksgiving. We headed up north to the Philadelphia area, to visit my family that I have there. My parents, grandmother, brother Jeff, and his girl friend Nicci went with us as well. We had a great time being up there and it was so much fun. It was really cold which helped get me into the holiday mood!!
While we were there we decided to take in all the sites. We travelled to D.C. and did a bus tour since it was below freezing when we went!!
Jake and I were ready to face the day and all the sight seeing we would do! Everyone, from Texas, made sure we were bundled up really good to enjoy all the monuments. As you can tell we did not care what we looked like we were COLD!!
Baylie and Mimi enjoying the warmth of the bus.
Devin (PA cousin), my Mom, Jeff, Jake, Baylie, and Jillian(PA cousin) at Arlington cemetery. We went on the anniversary of JFK's death so there were a lot of visitors pating tribute. (Sidenote: Check out my mom in her Bear coat!)
Family at the Lincoln Memorial
After facing the day with much enthusiasm Jake and I were pooped out by the end of the day! Although, it was cold, it was amazing to see our country's capital and the tributes to all the people who made our country free, and the greatest nation in the world!
