Okay, I am not one of those women who can eat whatever they want and not gain a pound. I have known this my whole life. So, why was I surprised when I went to the doctor today and on the scale I saw a number that I maybe saw the last week of my pregnancy with Jake?! UGG! Very depressing. I am not for sure exactly how much weight I have gained, but all I know is that I am now on a low sodium, few carb meal plan for the next two weeks. I am having A LOT of swelling and leg pain. My doctor feels it is because of all the sodium intake I have consumed lately. Really? Me eating a lot of salt, NO, not me!
Last night up at church I had so many women shocked when I told them that I was not due until April 4th. The answers I got, "really, you still have that long?" "Are you sure you aren't having twins, one could be hiding." Honestly people, do not do that to a woman who already knows she is as big as a whale! Well, my goal, and my doctor's goal is to have just a 1 pound weight gain. The big weigh in will be January 28th. Who knows, maybe I will not gain anything. Just please pray for this pregnant girl, because I love salty food and bread. I guess that means my beloved snack of summer sausage and crackers is no more! Nuts! Hopefully, after 2 weeks of depriving myself of my food loves I will feel better and want to continue the eating style. Well, just until the baby is born that is. If you have some low carb, low sodium recipes pass them my way, the Lord knows I need them!
**P.S. On a good note my glucose numbers were awesome! Yea!! I can have sugar just not the cake it is baked in! :(

I believe I have heard those exact comments when I was pregnant with Ella! Some folks just don't have the filter to filter out the dumb things they think to say! All you need to worry about is baking a healthy baby, don't stress about the rest! See you Sat. :)
