Change is a Comin!!

Well, I am 3 weeks from my due date and hopefully, just two away from my delivery date! You are all invited to join in prayer with me if you feel led. The dates I prefer to deliver are the 26th or 27th, so just ask God on my behalf to grant this desire!! :) As time is getting closer to when Colt will be born the family is sensing something new is on the horizon especially, Jake. It reminds me of Mary Poppins when the wind changes some of the people and the dog know that change is coming. This past week, I started really working hard on the nursery getting it all together and each time I set foot in the room, Jake had a melt down! Poor guy, he is such a mommy's boy and he knows that soon he will not be the only boy in Mommy's life. He still does not share me with Baylie. Each time she comes and gives me a hug or sits in my lap Jake goes into a full out fit and starts pushing Baylie off of me. I have been trying to make him understand that I am not just his mommy, but he has caught onto the game. When I ask him where Jake's mommy is he points to me and says right there; and then I ask him where Baylie's mommy is he says "she's upstairs!" It is so funny, but sad at the same time. He is going to be in for a rude awakening, just pray that the adjustment won't be too hard on him and me!!!

Baylie and Jake have really banded together lately. I think they know that with Colt coming they have to rely on each other to entertain themselves. They have been wonderful! The weather has been really nice here the past couple of weeks so we have been outside a lot! It has been so much fun watching them play together on the swing set and hit the baseball to each other. Yesterday they both sat in the playroom and Baylie "read" to Jake for over 30 minutes! Jake just kept getting book after book. Then at lunch they shard the same chair and watched Annie. They both joined in with singing the songs the rest of the day!

It is also neat to see how they respond to my ever growing tummy! Baylie is all over it! She rubs it, kisses it, talks to Colt, hugs it, and lays her head on my tummy. Jake loves to say hi to Colt. He keeps poking my tummy and says baby Colt is in there. He also likes to tell everyone that Colt is going to pop out of my tummy. This morning he came into my bed with me and laid down. He looked up at me and said "Mommy, you're getting bigger." I asked him if he meant my tummy he said "yes, your tummy is this big!" He held his arms out as far as he could and then said "baby Colt needs to pop out!"

Although, there is going to be a lot of change in our house, it is going to be for the better. It is amazing how much God has blessed us with each one of our children. We are all excited to meet Colt and see what God has in store for his life as well.

Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks. I am hoping to take pictures of the nursery soon. I still need a few last minute touches, but we'll see if I get to it!
The kids enjoying their noodles at Pei Wei! It was so funny watching them use their chop sticks. Jake moved onto his hands fast once he realized he could only get one noodle at a time with the chopsticks! Baylie had her own method and it was very effective!
Here are a pictures from my two showers I have had. The first, is one that my fellow teachers and friends from Mother's Day Out threw me at Olive Garden. I am mortified that after looking at the pictures I realized that I forgot to put on makeup! That is a sin I know. What is worse is that I am posting it! Oh well, this is me!

Gretchen, me, and Wendy

My good friends, Gretchen and Wendy, from my Sunday school class threw me a shower at Gret's house. It was awesome! Wendy made me her jalapeno ranch dip, which I could drink! Gretchen is due in June with a boy! I am truly blessed to have such great friends! Look! I remembered to put my makeup on!
